Here is how we spend our 'spare' time at the Inn!
The winter cold damaged the front walkway slate stones to the point of being unsafe.
The front sidewalk is now paved with new concrete.
The porch steps were rebuilt and new hand rails put into place.
On the side entrance of the Inn, facing Willow Street, new porch stairs with handrails were built.
The ramp received matching spindles and handrails also.
Although the Winter season was fast approaching, we attempted to start the facelift on our future "Painted Lady".
The last days of Fall provided us with a chance to prime coat the front porch and start the initials colors.
Changing seasons means changing the "to-do" list so we moved indoors.
It was time to make-over the Library. So everyone started in and concentrated.
Wallpaper was stripped, plaster repaired, ceiling was scraped, and new cabinets were stained.
Cartons of books were packed, unpacked and sorted, the computer lines were replaced
and furniture was stored in the nearby Breakfast Room.
New wallpaper, new ceiling, new bookshelves, new reading chairs, new cartons of books:
all finished within nine days of work.
Check out the new decorating under our Common Rooms in the Library.
